These shoes are great. Not only are they easy to put on, but the velcro strap also keeps the shoe secure and difficult for the baby to pull off. There is ample traction on the bottom and my new walker seems to do well in these shoes without any discomfort. I bought these shoes because they can be worn either casually or formally. Not to mention, you can’t beat the price. A slight negative I have about the shoes is that it’s hard to discern between which is the left and right shoe. However, I must be putting the shoes on correctly because my baby is doing great with them. My other caveat is that these have a velvet texture, so you have to be careful about water damage.
I purchased Robeez, Locaste, Bobux, and lots of other + a pair shoes and I have to say this UMI is my favorite! I got the red velvet one and I thought it might be too fluffy and get stained easily. But the red velvet is soft and hasn’t gotten stained yet. It looks way better than in the picture.
This pair of Umi is also incredibly easy to slip on and off. It’s also very comfortable around the ankles. And my 13 month old can’t take it off. There’s something to this pair of shoes that’s even enabled her to walk faster and make quicker turns. She can also go from a crawling position into a walking position easier too.
This Umi just replaced her Robeez Mini Shoez Infant/Toddler Trainer Sneaker, which happens to be very tight around the ankles. She even goes around the house looking for her Umi and tries to put them on herself!! She doesn’t do this with her other shoes! umi: 134349 She’ll look darling whether dressed up or down in these pretty Umi Pearl casuals. Fabric or leather upper in a casual Mary Jane crib shoe style with a square toe and textured rubber toe bumper. A hook and loop instep closure and high cupped elasticized heel keep fit comfortable and secure. Leather lining and cushioning insole, flexible stitched leather midsole.
